365/30 Lists: 2014 | Week 2

Last week I shared my newest adventure here on my blog. And I had no idea how popular my 365/30 Lists Journal would be with my readers! I received such wonderful feedback across all of my social accounts, on my blog, and on the 365/30 Lists: Philofaxers! Facebook group! I'm so happy to hear that a lot of you decided to join me on this journey :) It's going to be so much fun!

I customized this project to suit my needs. Deciding not to use my Filofax made sense to me. I honestly don't have the extra space for 30 separate lists. I also want to keep all of my lists together in one book... so I went with a bound journal. But if you have room to do it in your Filofax or planner, go for it!

In case you missed last week's post, you can find it here. View this month's complete list of prompts @365/30 Lists: Philofaxers!. I'll be using the hashtag #30filolists on instagram, if you want to follow my journey.

WEEK 2
January 6 - January 12

365/30 Lists 2014: Days 6 & 7

365/30 Lists 2014: Days 8 - 10
I added some extras to this page with a Kawaii ice cream cone sticker by Stickerdoodles, a Typo page marker, red paper tape [Kid Made Modern from Target], and filmstrip washi tape.

365/30 Lists 2014: Days 11 & 12

Here I drew some zentangles to fill up some blank space, and embellished the page with another Kawaii sticker and an arrow post-it from my stash of Filofax supplies.

That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed my post and leave here inspired to try something new :) For more... tune in next week! Feel free to check out my other Filofax posts.

Project Life 2014: Week 2

Hello! I'm really enjoying documenting another year with Project Life... and starting off with a new book is pretty awesome! Today I'm so happy to share my most recent completed layout with you. But in case you missed last week's, you can find it here.

WEEK 2
Life Documented
January 6 - January 12

PL 2014: Week 2 | Full Spread

This week was wonderful! I captured lots of great everyday life photos and memories worth documenting. I even had tons of new supplies to play with! I let the fun pictures from this week be the inspiration for my theme. Lots of girly embellishments and the color pink, of course!

PL 2014: Week 2 | Left Page

Here I'm using a Hobby Lobby pocket page continued from Week 1. I really loved the colors in this week's photos, so they were my palette when choosing cards and embellishments. I mixed up the cards on this page with some handmade ones, a printable filler card, and journal and fillers from different designers and collections.

Starting with the title card, I used a cloud design from the set of Planner themed Project Life cards. I added Hello thickers by Amy Tangerine, a Colorbok number element, yellow enamel dots by Recollections, and an arrow by MAMBI.

PL 2014: Week 2 | Cards - Set 1

For this set of cards I used a double-sided card from last week to hold a wallet-size instagram photo of my 365/30 Lists. I added some neon paper tape to write the title. Next is a 4x3 filler card from WRMK. I created a handmade card using paper from Amy T's Sketchbook line. It holds a 4x4 instapic of my daughter. To complete the card, I used Studio 112 and Glitz alphabet stickers, Wish thickers by Amy Tangerine, and a Cosmo Cricket doily sticker.

PL 2014: Week 2 | Cards - Set 2

This is another fun mix of cards. I used the other side of the 4x6 WRMK journal card from last week to hold a wallet-size instagram of my VDay stash. I added some Dymo labels for the title. Next is a handmade 4x3 card using pretty paper from my scraps. It has another wallet-size instapic, some Heidi Swapp alphabet stickers, and pink bling. The last card is a cutout from my Hopscotch paper pad by Colorbok. I used some of my own writing to fill in the calendar card.

PL 2014: Week 2 | Love Filler Card

I scoured through my stash of free printables to find a filler card that worked with my theme. I resized this print to fit the 4x6 pocket. The colors and LOVE sentiment works perfectly!

PL 2014: Week 2 | Right Page

I'm using the same Hobby Lobby pocket page for the right side. I filled the pockets with a fun mix of cards, papers, and photos.

PL 2014: Week 2 | Cards - Set 3

For the first card in this set, I have a handmade card using paper from Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic. It holds a 4x4 instagram photo, a pink SMASH* label that I embossed with my Dymo, a wood veneer hashtag, a print-and-cut label, and some alphabet stickers by Glitz and Basic Grey. Next is a 4x3 filler card from the Girl themed set of Project Life cards. The last one is a printable filler card that holds a wallet-size instapic and some glittery red Hooray thickers.

PL 2014: Week 2 | PNW Life

I made this card using more paper from Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic line. I added a 4x4 instagram photo of my little one in her rain gear... necessities for living in the Pacific NW. Some large AC Remarks Hazel and K&Company Animal Tails alphabet stickers complete the card.

PL 2014: Week 2 | Cards - Set 4

I made a Week in Review card using a ledger design from Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook paper pad and some pink Cosmo Cricket alphabet stickers. The 4x3 cards are from my hubby's company party. Some Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic paper acts as a mat for his name tag. I took a photo of his letter about the Profit Share bonus, and added an arrow (cut on my Silhouette Cameo) to highlight the amount. [Concealed for privacy. The SMASH* mustache clip is there to hide more info.]

PL 2014: Week 2 | Bravo Night Card

The last one is another handmade card using patterned paper from my collection and a piece of ephemera. I thought the hubby's itinerary from Bravo Night would be a great addition to our album! To decorate the card, I added a black banner cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I also used a white gel pen to create the faux stitch detail and writing, and some AC Remarks alphabet stickers for the rest of the title.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life post :) You can find all of my previous layouts and albums here. Looking for the fun free printables I used in this week's spread? Browse my "SMASH* & PL" or "Printables/Templates" pinboards on Pinterest. Be sure to follow those boards, because I find new stuff often!

Filofax 2014: Week 2

Happy Monday! It's time for my end of the week Filofax post :) I use both an A5 and Personal planner to help organize my life. Feel free to take a peek inside my A5 Original & Personal Domino. To stay organized in 2014, I added some extra inserts to my A5 Filofax. Curious? Check out this post! In case you missed last week's layout, you can find it here.

FF 2014: Week 2 in My A5 Original & Personal Domino

Here is a quick breakdown of what I use my Personal and A5 Filofax for. Both follow the same color-coding system. My [Personal] Domino holds all of my personal notes, family details, appointments/events, paydays & bills, contacts, as well as notes specific to my A5. For my blog and Project Life planning, crafts, online order tracking, and Household stuff [such as chore lists, menu planning, and important financial details], I use my A5. Since my Personal FF is my everyday planner, I duplicate some entries into it because I like knowing exactly what I have going on in that part of my life.

FF 2014: Week 2 in My Personal Domino

It was a pretty busy week in my Personal planner, but with the help of my color-coding system I didn't have trouble staying on top of all my plans and projects, daily routines, and other important notes. As far as decorations go, I try not to overcrowd my pages with stickers. I like to have lots of room to write down every detail!

The only thing I use religiously is washi tape for inspiration. This week, it's Neon Circuit Board washi by Scotch on the bottom of my pages, and on top is hot pink narrow tape that was gifted to me. I included a fun printable filler card from my stash that I embellished with a sticker and paper clip cut on my Cameo. I also have a Martha Stewart dewdrop [that I move from week to week] for a little reminder, and a pink up&up [Target] magnetic clip to hold my completed pages together. For important sticky notes, I have a Paper Addict dashboard right between my week.

I'm using CC-Inspired WO2P inserts from My Life All in One Place. The design is super simple and incredibly spacious. I love it! Monday-start is new for me, so that will take some getting used to.

FF 2014: Week 2 in My A5 Original

For my A5, I'm also using CC-Inspired WO2P inserts from My Life All in One Place. I don't decorate the pages too much in this planner, besides the usual washi tape. For a cohesive look, I used the same Scotch tape from my Personal Domino, and I created a banner on top using pink up&up [Target] washi. I also have an up&up magnetic clip to hold my completed pages together. A Paper Addict dashboard [which I customized] sits right between my week.

That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed my Filofax post :) Want more? Tune in next week! You can also browse all of my previous layouts here. If you're looking for more planner inspiration, check out my "Filofax Addict" pinboard on Pinterest.

Filofax: Staying Organized in 2014

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Based on some feedback by my readers [a poll running this month], a lot of you are interested in seeing more Filofax posts. You're in for a treat today! I'll be sharing some add-on inserts that I found while getting my planners ready for the new year :)

The set-up I used for 2013 in my A5 Original worked great. I had a super organized and productive year! So I'm not changing anything about my arrangement. [Take a peek Inside My A5 Original.] But this year I'm adding some handy inserts that I wish I had last year. It'll make staying organized that much easier...

Filofax: Ready for 2014

Today I'll be sharing some inserts that I added to my BLOG, PROJECTS, & HOUSEHOLD sections. I printed all of them at-home, using the A5 printer setting and  A5 paper that I cut from 8.5x11 sheets. To save on printing costs, I used only black ink. [I bring color into my pages with pretty pens, washi tape, and stickers.] They were all hand-punched [the hard way!]. If you have any recommendations on a paper puncher, I'd love to hear it! Looking to invest in one that punches Personal & A5...

...Now onto the good stuff!

BLOG

Following are a few inserts that I needed to keep track of my blog planning. Last year I used a seperate notebook... and it worked fine. But for 2014, it only made sense to have all of that info here in my A5 Filofax. Everything together all in one place... and no need to carry around another book!

WEEKLY PLANNING

2014 Filofax: Weekly Blog Planner Insert

"Weekly Blog Planner" by andcute.com

I use this insert to plan my weekly blog posts. I don't like my planners to be too bulky, so right now, I only printed up a single month's worth of pages. I also want to see how I like them before printing out a large batch.

BLOG PLANNING

2014 Filofax: Blog Planner Inserts

2014 Filofax: Blog Planner Inserts

"BLOG PLANNER" Inserts from One Tough Mother

These inserts were available for free until 12/31/13. [More info available in the link above.] They're pretty self-explanatory but incredibly handy and helpful. I printed all three pages double-sided to test them out. What's fun about printing your own inserts is being able to easily change things up. Next month I may give some other Blog Planner inserts a try. There are so many different designs and styles available for FREE!

PROJECTS

The same notebook that I used for my blog planning last year, I also used for my Project Life planning. Sketches. Layouts. Notes. Details. Ideas. I knew this year I wanted to include all of that stuff in my A5 Filofax, eliminating the need to carry around another book.

PROJECT LIFE PLANNER

2014 Filofax: Project Life Planner

2014 Filofax: Project Life Planner

2014 Filofax: Project Life Planner

"PROJECT LIFE JOURNAL" by Kelly Waterman

These inserts are really great! Definitely my favorite find! All of the details that I keep track of when planning my PL pages are right there on a single page. I have a place for my sketch, daily note sections, an "idea" box, and it even fill-ins for the current week and dates. There's also a seperate monthly calendar with the weeks marked. So fabulous! If I need to add any other specifics for the week, I'll use a sticky note or transparent flags.

HOUSEHOLD

I added a couple of new sheets to this section of my A5. These help track some details about our household's finances. Last year, I had various notes on separate stickies for each month. Now all of the important information is right here all on one sheet.

BILL PLANNER

2014 Filofax: Bill Planner Printable

"BILL PLANNER" from ZoeAtHome.com

I printed double-sided here. All 12 months fit perfectly on one sheet. Now all of the details about our household's bills and payments are right here. Very handy!

SAVING MONEY

One of my 2014 Goals. I found an incredibly simple challenge to help kick off our new plan!

2014 Filofax: 52 Week Money Saving Challenge

This is such a great chart for understanding how very little is needed to start building for our financial future. A simple money saving challenge that our family is excited for! We're on a mission to make this project a success. [I use a pink highlighter to mark off my weeks.]

2014 Filofax: Staying Organized - Add-On Inserts

That's all I have for you today! I hope you enjoyed my post and found a few new things along the way :) Have you seen the inside of my  A5 Original, yet? Here is my Personal Domino. Don't forget about my weekly layouts! You can find all of them here. I also embarked on a new journey! See what I'm doing with 365/30 Lists. Looking for more planner inspiration? 365/30 Lists: 2014 | Week 1

Happy Aloha Friday! I decided to embark on a new adventure this year :) Writing everyday is one of my Goals for 2014. I was debating whether or not I wanted to add something new to my schedule, but with the success of completing all of my projects last year, as scheduled, I felt I could handle one more thing...

I've always loved writing... since childhood, actually. I still have all of my old diaries and journals from when I was a kid. Sadly, I haven't done any daily writing or journaling for a very long time. Sure, I do journal on some cards every week for my Project Life album, but I feel like I want more. So I decided to rekindle my love for writing... by making lists. Who doesn't love a good list?!

Since I'm a Filofax Addict, and my planners are already full of random lists... I thought I would join in on the fun with 365/30 Lists: Philofaxers! I'm already in the Philophaxy Facebook group, so it's a really great companion. All of the planning for this new project is done in my A5 Original.

365/30 Lists: 2014 | The Journal

But I'm the type that loves to have my writing together all in one place, especially a project like 365/30. The space in my Filofaxes is already spoken for, so putting 30 separate lists in them each month is out of the question. Being a journaler, it only made sense to keep a single book for all of this year's lists. So I decided to document my journey in a journal. It's all together in one place... and I can easily look back on it for many years to come. Could you imagine a shelf full of them? Seeing how much the world, along with myself, has changed over time... through these lists.

The journal I'm using is a favorite that I've had for almost 10 years. I'm so happy I'm finally able to put it to good use! I purchased it from Barnes & Noble, and it's the PaperBlanks line. The colors are lovely, it has a beautiful texture, a magnetic wrap-around cover, and an accordion pocket in the back for little extras. For the title, I added black foam thickers called "Wish" by Amy Tangerine.

365/30 Lists: 2014 | Journal - The Cover Page

I decorated the cover page of my journal with a Martha Stewart label sticker, and chose a few favorite designs of washi tape for accent. I used three different designs of varying widths, and cut them into banners and an arrow.

[Mail Tape by Scotch, Gray Chevron by ThePaperStudio from Hobby Lobby, Neon Paper Tape by KID MADE MODERN from Target]

Each month, 365/30 Lists: Philofaxers! releases a new list of prompts. Every week, I'll be sharing the pages of my book here on my blog. Follow me on my new adventure. I'm using the hashtag #30filolists on Instagram. If you're a list lover or journaler like me, incorporate these lists into your life. Document your journey. As for me, I get to check a few things off my 2014 Goals list...

WEEK 1
January 1 - January 5

365/30 Lists 2014: Days 3 - 5

That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed my post and leave here feeling inspired to try something new and different. I'm going to have lots of fun filling up this journal with lists :) For more... tune in next week! In the meantime, check out my other Filofax posts. Looking for more planner inspiration? Project Life 2014: Week 1

Happy Thursday! I'm so excited to finally share the first layout of my 2014 Project Life album :) Last week, I revealed details about my new book, the cover page of my album, and my plans for this year in Project Life. You can read about all of that here.

Here's how our year started...

WEEK 1
Life Documented
January 1 - January 5

PL 2014: Week 1 - Full Spread

It felt so great to make a Project Life spread again! I missed it last month, since I did a separate December Daily album. The first week of 2014 was off to a great start! I captured lots of photos and printed them in a variety of sizes. I mixed up the design a bit, and played around with fun and colorful cards and elements.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Left Page

Here I'm using a Hobby Lobby pocket page continued from my cover page. I filled the pockets with pretty patterned paper, printable filler cards, and fun elements with black accents. Starting with the title card, I created a handmade 6x4 card using Ki Memories paper, a COLORBOK number and sentiment, and glittery silver "Sunrise" thickers.

PL 2014: NYE Card

This is another handmade card using Ki Memories paper cut down to size. I added a 4x4 instagram photo, a black banner cut on my Silhouette Cameo, and silver "Kitten" thickers.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Cards - Set1

With this group, I have a printable chevron filler card and a calendar card from my collection.  I added a wallet-size instapic, black and silver Studio 112 alphabet stickers, and stamped the calendar card with an Ali E. circle date stamp. The B&W polka dot card is the perfect background for a 4x4 instagram photo of our first family pic of the year. I added a "Home" embellisment cut on my Silhouette Cameo, and some white American Crafts alphabet stickers.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Cards - Set2

Next I have more fun free printable filler cards, a wallet-size instagram photo of my little one ringin' in the New Year, and Glitz alphabet stickers. I used a star design from Ki Memories for my favorite New Year's photo. I embellished this card with some colorful cardstock tags and heart brads.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Right Page

I'm using another Hobby Lobby pocket page to hold more memories from our first week of the year. I have a fun mix of cards, designers, and photos.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Cards - Set 3

I filled the 4x6 pocket with a cheerful filler card by MAMBI. Next I used a chalk COLORBOK cutout for some journaling, and a 4x3 photo snippet of our Family Movie Night.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Haul Card

I created a handmade card using black chevron AC paper. It holds a 4x4 instapic of my shopping haul. I decorated the card with a Cosmo Cricket tag sticker, colorful twine, and dark alphabet stickers. Another Cosmo Cricket sticker marks the date.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Cards - Set 4

I varied up the photos by filling a pocket with a full-size 4x6 image of my daughter. Next is a 2014 printable filler card and a 4x3 MAMBI card. It holds a wallet-size instagram photo, a Cosmo Cricket tab sticker, and B&W alphabet stickers by American Crafts.

PL 2014: Week 1 - Journal Card

The last card is a journal card by WRMK. I used it to document a few simple goals and inspiration for this year. I used a DYMO label for the title, bling acts as the bullets, and I used a white gel pen to do my journaling.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life post :) Looking forward to sharing more of our family's memories this year! You can find all of my previous layouts and albums here. Looking for the fun, free printables I used in this week's spread? Browse my "SMASH* & PL" pinboard on pinterest. I have even more freebies on my "Printables/Templates" board! Be sure to follow those, because I find new stuff often!

Filofax 2014: Week 1

Hello! It's time for my end of the week Filofax post :) I'm so happy to be back behind a computer again, after being offline for a week or so. But this week's posts are a couple of days behind schedule. Today I'll be sharing the first completed week of 2014 in my Filofax planners. As you can see, I use an A5 and Personal planner to organize my life. Feel free to take a peek inside of my A5 Original & Personal Domino. You can find all of my completed Filofax pages here.

Filofax 2014: Week 1 in My A5 Original & Personal Domino

Let me give you a quick rundown of what I use my Personal and A5 Filofax for. Both follow the same color-coding system. My [Personal] Domino holds all of my personal notes, family details, appointments/events, paydays & bills, contacts, as well as notes specific to my A5. For blog and Project Life planning, online order tracking, and Household stuff [such as chore lists, menu planning, and important financial details], I use my A5. Since my Personal FF is my everyday planner, I duplicate some entries into it because I like knowing what I have going on in that part of my life.

Filofax 2014: Week 1 in My Personal Domino

New Day. New Month. New Year. I had so much fun getting my pages ready for 2014! It's a clean, fresh start. This year for my Personal Domino, I'm using new [to-me] CC-Inspired WO2P inserts from My Life All in One Place. I love the simple and spacious design. They're very similar to the Cathy V. inserts I used last year, but with a Monday start. I wanted to try something new and different. So far I really like them!

It wasn't too busy this week, but with the help of my color-coding system I didn't have a problem staying on top of things. From New Year's plans and projects, to daily routines and specific notes I like to document. For decorations I used bright and colorful Scotch washi on the bottom, and narrow Recollections tape on the top. I also have an adorable giraffe sticky marker [courtesy of Cool Pencil Case], a Martha Stewart dew drop [which I move from week to week] for a little reminder, an up&up [Target] magnetic clip holds my pages together, and a Paper Addict dashboard sits right between my week to hold important sticky notes.

Filofax 2014: Week 1 in My A5 Original

In my A5 Original, I'm using CC-Inspired WO2P inserts from My Life All in One Place. I liked the idea of using the same insert designs for both of my planners, and it's a huge improvement [space-wise] to the WO1P inserts I used last year in my A5. I don't decorate the pages too much in this planner, except for the usual washi tape. For a cohesive look, I used the same Scotch tape from my Personal on the bottom of these pages. I have yellow [up&up] diagonal-striped washi on top, which also matches the bright yellow up&up [Target] magnetic clip that holds my pages together You'll find another fun Paper Addict dashboard [which I customized] in this planner too.
